I am not sure what to make of this. We have a group - The Kansas Anti Zombie Militia and more or less, they appear to be preppers. The thing is they firmly believe in, and are prepping for, a zombie apocalypse.
Now I am not criticising in anyway, but this is interesting for me. On the one hand, I feel being more prepared is great, and much of their zombie apocalypse preparation will cover them for most eventualities, but on the other hand, I still have this nagging voice saying, come on, zombies…. What really? The thing is, I guess this is what non-preppers think about all preppers.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this… Have a look at the Kansas City Star article below and let me know what you think. Comment below or on the Facebook page.
Kansas Militia Expects Zombies (and it’s dead serious!)

Well I can’t get my stupid computer to load the page from the link so I don’t know if they are talking real “Hollywood” zombies or not. But here’s what my husband & I mean when we talk about zombies: regular people who are unprepared when disaster strikes who will basically lose their minds and will do whatever they have to- including killing- to get what the need to survive. They won’t be out for brains- they’ll be out for supplies and won’t think twice about killing someone to get them. My husband & I will be ready to deal with the “zombies”…
If you think about it, its the perfect cover. The government probably won’t look twice at ‘kooks’ who believe in zombies.
This picture really cracks me up. I saw the tv show referenced in the article and they made a pretty good arguement for how zombies could become a reality, almost. Either way, Mr Carbajal didn’t come off as crazy, and whatever the reason for your prepping, the Zompoc seems to cover all bases.
But just to be safe, I now have a tomahawk with a zombie spike on it. -big grin-
